You Know You Are A Pakistani When – *Market Shopping Edition :)*

Pakistani Women Shopping In Market

After a previous version of You Know You Are A Pakistani When…., The “You know you are a Pakistani when” is out on the streets and into the market 🙂

You know you are a Pakistani when,

Your Ammi (mom) spends 40 minutes in a shop looking for her specific choice item and choosing between the things and then walks out of the shop empty hand because the shopkeeper wouldn’t reduce the price from Rs. 500 to Rs. 450.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

Every time you are in a market place with your mom, you meet any of your mom’s relatives or friends and they spend 20 minutes talking about what they got, what you came to the market for, which item they got at a good bargain, how their husbands were, what exams their kids are having etc etc.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

Buying something as simple as a salt & pepper shaker takes about 20 minutes to decide.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

Inquiring for prices, colors, sizes, material etc is a very essential part of shopping even for things you don’t want to buy at that time. It’s just for a future reference. A future that may never come.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

You have to eat something from the street stall in the market even if you just had your lunch or dinner.

**Who goes home without having those tasty yummy burgers that get filled with tomatoes and onions at which flies were hovering, made with hands that seem unwashed since ages and  finally get wrapped in a newspaper. You just can’t resist that sorta temptation, aye?**

You know you are a Pakistani when,

You meet someone you know in the market and they say “Oh so doing shopping eh?”

*** No biatch…I am here for my lung surgery. What kind of a question is that really. ***

You know you are a Pakistani when,

The shopkeeper tells you that the dress is for Rs. 2500 and you tell him you are left with only Rs. 2000.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

You walk with the Rs 2500 dress, taken at Rs.2000 with a smirk on your face.

You know you are a Pakistani when,

You ask for the price of an item, the salesman tells you it’s Rs.8000, you spend half hour bargaining and then walk out of the shop with that item at Rs. 5000.

**MISSION ACCOMPLISHED**

So relatable, I remember having to bargain for an over-priced ice cream -.- That reminds me.. whenever we go shopping, we sometimes split up since we’d be looking for different things. For me, I spend more time looking for my mom in the ENTIRE mall lol..that’s my shopping xD I’m never going to find her… she usually finds me 😛

  3. I admit I admit… I am a Pakistani! – or at least in part 😀
